Provincial Team Program

The Basketball Saskatchewan Provincial Team Program is the premier player and coach development program in the province. The program attracts the top players and coaches to represent Saskatchewan at national and international events.

2024 Program Overview

The Provincial Team Program will be offering 17U and 15U Men’s and Women’s categories. Each category will select up to 22 players during the tryout process held in the spring of 2024.  In each category, 12 selected players will be considered as the Senior Roster that will attend National Championships, and the remaining players will be part of our Development Roster.

Each athlete will receive 40 hours of on-court training time throughout the summer months, game experience at a minimum of 2 (and maximum of 4) prep competitions, BSI provincial program clothing, and Senior Roster Players will also receive National Championship experience.

The training and competition schedule for each team will be posted at least one week prior to tryouts.

Tryout Information

Provincial Team tryouts take place over two weekends for each age group.  Players will be required to attend both weekends in order to be considered for selection.  The first tryout weekend is the BSI SuperCamp, which is an open tryout for any players interested in being selected for a team or to gain experience in what the tryout process is like for future consideration.  Upon the conclusion of the SuperCamp weekend, a select number of players will receive an invite to attend a final tryout weekend.

Dates: April 6 & 7, 2024
Times: Girls Sessions 9am-11am and 1pm-3pm both days. Boys sessions 11am-1pm and 3pm-5pm both days.
Fee: $115 (no additional fee is charged if player is chosen to advance to the final tryout weekend)
Location: Martensville Athletic Pavillion
Registration Dates: Dec. 15th, 2023 - April 2nd, 2024

Players who attend SuperCamp will receive notification via email April 9th on whether they are invited back to the final tryouts.
