The National Coach Certification Program and Canada Basketball have developed 3 coaching certification pathways that are dependent on the age of athlete you are coaching.
To register for any NCCP Basketball clinic sign up for a free account on Canada Basketball’s coaching website GamePlanBasketball.ca
then go to workshops and select the course you would like to attend.

Community Sport
Fundamentals Coach
Designed for the first-time coach of athletes in the FUNdamentals stage (ages 6-8 females/6-9 males) of athlete development, this six-hour, in-class and in the gym workshop will help you understand who you are coaching, provide you with the basic skills for planning a practice, and show you how to teach those skills in a fun and inclusive way

Learn to plan and teach fundamental skills and concepts appropriate for athletes in the Learn to Train stage (ages 8-11 females/9-12 males) of athlete development in this 2 day workshop with in-class and on court experience
Train to Train
Advance your coaching with this workshop designed for coaches of athletes 12-16 years old. Acquire coaching skills that help develop proper training and good basketball habits for maximizing athletes’ abilities. Must take L2T before you can take this course.
Competition Development - Advanced
Train to Compete
Coaches looking to develop athletes at the senior high school, university, and college levels will benefit from this program. Three sport specific modules make up this course which is part of the standard for coaches working at the Canada Games level. Topics covered include performance planning and scouting, and integration of advanced skills. Coaches are also required to complete six multi-sport modules in the certification process.

Saskatchewan Basketball Coaching Community
Basketball Saskatchewan is excited to announce the creation of the Saskatchewan Basketball Coaching Community (SBCC). This is a membership based group that represents, develops and unites all coaches at every level in the province. The SBCC is geared toward community, club, high school, college and university coaches who seek to increase their knowledge and understanding in the sport of basketball. The SBCC will bring together Saskatchewan coaches to help develop basketball in the province.
