U17 - Spring Program

Under 17 - 1993 & 1994 

Cost of the program is $140.

Registration Deadline March 1st, 2010.  

  • The program will consist of 2 practices a week from April 12th to May 13th.
    These practices will be 1½ hours each in length.
  • Participants will be taught fundamental offensive, defensive and team skills. 
  • Teams are eligible for 2 tournaments - they will participate in at least one.   Tournament games will be one hour with 2 officials and score keepers. 

                     Saskatoon        Boys April 30th & May 1st  
                                              Girls May 1st and 2nd


                     (Teams not required to travel will play the evening of the first day)

                     Regina             Girls May 14 & 15
                                              Boys May 15 & 16  

  • Players are responsible for supplying their own ball.  They can purchase a ball for $10 by indicating so on their registration.
  • Each participant will be provided a T-shirt.
  • Participants outside of Regina & Saskatoon are not guaranteed a team.  If there aren't enough to make up a team within a small geographic area a full refund will be provided.  
  • Fees include BSI and Canada Basketball membership.

- Provide athletes throughout Saskatchewan with the opportunity to participate in basketball.
- Provide High Performance opportunities in all areas of Saskatchewan.
- Prepare athletes for the next level of competition.
- Development of participants, coaches and officials.

High Performance/ID Camps

U14 & U16  High Performance camps will be held in each zone for participants that want to prepare for the next level of competition.  These camps are not intended for recreational participants. 

These camps will further develop the players individual and team skills. 

From the high performance camps, teams will be selected to represent their zone in the U14 and U16 provincial championship. 

The dates for the high performance camps will be May 29 & 30 where ever possible. 

The fee to participate in the high performance camp is $25.  For those that didn't participate in the 5 week program an additional $30 BSI & Canada Basketball membership fee are required if your child makes the zone team.
