Centre for Performance 2012

This fall Basketball Saskatchewan (BSI) will be offering elite training programs again for those children born from 1995-2001.  As part of BSI’s commitment to developing elite basketball athletes, the programs were recently reviewed and a number of changes have been made based on player, coach, and parent feedback.

This year the programs will be branded under the Centre for Performance name and will offer 30 hours of instruction and will run from September to November.  There will be two age groups in the CP this fall, athletes born in 2001 – 1998 and those born in 1998 – 1995.  Open tryouts will be held for both age groups on the September 8 & 9 weekend.  Focusing on individual and team skills development, the programs will help prepare the athletes for the high school and club seasons and Provincial Team tryouts held in the spring.

The Canada Games will be held in Sherbrooke, QC next summer and our Sask Canada Games coaches will be watching training sessions during the CP.

The costs for each program will be $300 and each athlete will receive:

-          30 hours of quality training from High performance Coaches

-          Training consists of break down individual skill development as well as team dynamics

-          CP jersey and shorts
