Bert Brander - Meadow Lake

Bert Brander is a teacher at Jonas Samson Jr. High School in Meadow Lake and has been a basketball coach for 30 years. He was a member of the Meadow Lake 2A high school team that won a gold medal at Hoopla finishing with a 32-0 record. He was co-MVP in the Prairie Athletic Conference in 1981-82. Brander was an assistant coach with the Carpenter High School 3A girls program that won gold, silver and bronze at Hoopla. His Zone 7 boys' team lost the bronze medal in the 1996 Saskatchewan Summer Games by just two points.
