Cougar Co-Ed Basketball Super Camp

WHEN:  February 21-24, 2017
TIME:  8:00 am – 4:00 pm
FEE: $200
WHERE: University of Regina, Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport
WHO: Ages 10-17, Grades 5-12 (boys and girls)
DETAILS: Super Camp is designed to improve players’ guard skills such as ball handling, shooting, perimeter/post passing, guard footwork (both foot speed and first step), 1v1 defence, as well as various post moves such as jump hook, drop step, up and under, 21 series, face-up series, post spacing, screening, passing and post defence.
INSTRUCTOR: Fatih Akser (Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball)

  • Advanced Coaching Diploma, Level 4 (Canada National Coaching Certification Program, NCCP)
  • FIBA Europe Coaching Certification (FECC)
  • Former Head Coach of George Brown College Women’s (Toronto, Ontario) Basketball program (CCAA)
  • Former Assistant Basketball Coach at several CIS schools; Ryerson University, University of Toronto, Brock University and University of Waterloo
  • Former Head Coach of U17 Boy’s Team Ontario
  • Former Head Coach of Canada Basketball’s Targeted Athlete Strategy and Centre for Performance Elite Youth Development Program
